Fate works in mysterious ways, when learning about IPT was a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.

Fate works in mysterious ways.

I came to Dr. Donato Perez Garcia III circuitously, at a time when learning about IPT was a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.  Dial back to 1997, before social media, before Rabbi Google.  I was 41, the mother of a one-year-old boy, and, I thought at the time, in glowing health.  Discovering I had breast cancer did not compute because I was the pillar of strength.  The only thing I could attribute its emergence to was the preceding two most stressful years of my life.  Among other things, during this period I watched my mother slowly wither away through two rounds of chemotherapy in a failed attempt to beat back ovarian cancer.

In my mind, I decided I would rather die than subject myself to what she went through.  And thus started my search for alternatives to radiation and chemotherapy.  During this search I discovered a mouthful of mercury fillings were causing my mercury levels to go off the charts.  I found a trustworthy, pioneering dentist affiliated with a health and wellness clinic in Florida -- 2500 miles from my home in Oregon -- and flew there to undergo the lengthy and costly procedure of having my mercury removed.  During the chelation phase at the clinic I made friends with the nurse practitioner, who learned of my history with breast cancer, and how I had managed to avoid its widespread advance, but not its gradual spread.  Nothing I did seemed to stop it.

I left Florida for a few weeks, and when I returned, my nurse friend had just come from Mexico, where – while I was gone -- she studied an innovative cancer treatment with Dr. Donato Perez Garcia III.  Her enthusiasm was barely containable.  Knowing I was leaving for Oregon the next morning and with no time to waste, she sat me down in her office, where we poured over the thick IPT training manuals she had brought back and she explained to me her understanding of how the treatment worked.

Back home in Oregon, while I was researching the scant handful of doctors on the west coast practicing IPT, an old friend from graduate school called me.  I told her I was considering Mexico for a cancer treatment I had learned about.

"Hmmm, I'd be careful about trying anything in Mexico," my friend cautioned.  "But that said, I do have a friend who was treated for cancer many years ago in Mexico City, and she's doing just fine today, traveling all over the world eating whatever she wants."  (Over the years I had shared with my friend numerous and ridiculously extreme diets I had tried since diagnosed with cancer.)

"It couldn't be the same treatment,” I said.  “The doctor I'm considering is in Tijuana, not Mexico City."

"The next time she calls I’ll ask her about it.”

A few weeks later, my friend called again. I couldn’t believe my ears when she told me her friend had been treated by a Dr. Donato Perez Garcia, but in Mexico City, not in Tijuana.  "No way,” I said, jaw dropping.  “Is this just an insane coincidence – two doctors with the same name, one in Mexico City and the other in Tijuana?"

“Maybe he moved from Mexico City to TJ?” my friend suggested.

“I guess.”

Of course, soon thereafter, sitting in Dr. Donato Perez Garcia III's reception office soon thereafter, and browsing through literature, the mystery was solved.  It was his late father who had successfully treated my friend’s friend in Mexico City.

As for me, it has now been more than 10 years since I first saw Dr. Donato, and I am fine today.  I started with an intense series of IPT treatments which, under the good doctor’s supervision, were gradually tapered off over the years as my body recovered.

I don’t believe any cancer patient is ever completely out of the woods, because any number of things can trigger its onset.  For me, an overabundance of either stress or sugar almost certainly will.

But what I do know is that the IPT treatments gradually reduced the tumor(s) to negligible levels, enabled me to strengthen my body, and to go on to lead a healthy life unfettered by fear about living with or dying from cancer.

I am indebted to Dr. Donato Perez Garcia III for my life, and consider him to be one of the angels on this planet.

It is my hope that this letter will give encouragement to and instill confidence in anyone considering IPT as a treatment.  And if you’re lucky enough to be Dr. Donato’s patient, count your blessings.

Summary of Activities from the Eight IPT Global Conference

Summary of Activities from the Eight IPT Global Conference
(“Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person”, Mother Teresa of Calcutta)
Vienna, Austria.May 5 & 6, 2012. This eight conference is the sequence to the October 2010 held in Munich, Germany where presenters were invited to share their experience’s on the daily administration of this technique to patients. The organizer Donato Perez Garcia,MD, since the first Conference that took place in Phoenix, back in 2002, had the vision of creating a group of health practitioners that would gather clinical data and  scientific evidence to support this technique created by the late Donato Perez Garcia,MD (1896-1971).

For this Conference, Dr.Donato Perez Garcia, asked the lecturers and participants to help in the development of strategies to set standards for the IPT technique. For this reason Dr.Donato presented his lecture, with data collected from 2007 till 2012, on the standardization of the dose of insulin and the four levels of induced hypoglycemia as a result of the therapeutic use of rapid acting insulin.
Since the creation of IPT back in 1930, the method to choose the correct dose of insulin to be administered to patients has been modified five times. The initial method to calculate the dose of insulin was simple one unit for each kilo of body weight and was administered intramuscularly to patients.
In 1983 the method to calculate insulin dose and its route of administration was modified. The fourth modification to the dose calculating method took place in 1986 when the dose was calculated using 0.4 units of insulin for each kilogram of body weight.
In June of 2007 Dr.Donato Perez Garcia after the completion of a retrospective analysis of his clinical records introduced to his practice a new method of insulin dose calculation to take advantage of the therapeutic effects of insulin during IPT  using the pre treatment blood sugar to calculate the dose of insulin. Also the levels of induced hypoglycemia during IPT have been defined.
The term insulin shock is nothing more than a state of hypoglycemia.
The levels of hypoglycemia during IPT are: mild, moderate, intense and severe. Each level has a range of blood sugar measured in mg/Dl .

During each of the hypoglycemia levels there are recommendations as to which prescription and non prescription drugs can be administered. Currently as a result of these new definitions there are 3 safe levels of induced hypoglycemia to take advantage to treat chronic diseases and cancer.
In the management of cancer, either resistant or recurrent cancer patients, the need for a specific blood test to detect the chemo drugs and other natural agents that work best to treat the cancer is now very important and for this reason an invitation to Dr. Lothar Prix from BIOFOCUS Labs in Germany was extended and he gave a lecture on isolation of circulating tumor cells using peripheral blood to perform the analysis.

The newly elected President of The European Academy for IPT, Dr. Thomas Kroiss presented a lecture with the goal of setting the standards in the administration of IPT to patients, from fasting to GATORADE (original 8oz or 332ml bottle with 50 calories or 3.6 gr of sugar).

The European Academy for IPT is interested  that health practitioners who were trained on the IPT Technique join as Members and do it for a long time, this to ensure that patients who want to be treated with IPT receive the most up to date protocols that will help them benefit from this therapeutic approach to control or cure their disease. This will also prevent that doctors just do the basic training and later do not continue with their education and support to the Academy because this health practitioners end up doing a procedure that may not benefit the patient. (For trained and Competent MD's on IPT see the Directory at www.eaipt.org if a doctor is not listed he or she is not competent on the IPT technique).
Since she was trained on IPT by Dr.Donato Perez Garcia, Dr.Desanka R Petricevic decided to treat chronic infections and she developed a protocol to treat patients ill with Lyme disease. This year she presented her recent protocols to treat this chronic infections with success.
From Brasil, Dr.Roberto Cesar Leite who was also trained by Dr. Donato Perez Garcia, in 2002, and is the President of the South American Academy for Integrative Medicine presented a lecture on his 10 years of experience using IPT for the treatment of several diseases with success.

This year Dr Steven G Ayre, could not come to the Conference organized by Dr.Donato Perez Garcia, instead her daughter presented a statistical analysis of cancer patients treated with IPT at their Clinic. This is the preliminary report and we will be waiting for the completion of the analysis.

At the end of the first day the First General Assembly of The European Academy for IPT took place and the Academy Officers and the Board Members accepted their posts.
The second day, Sunday May 6, begin with the two lectures by Dr. Christo Damyanov, from Bulgaria. Dr Damyanov has published 3 articles about IPT on the peer reviewed medical literature ( the articles are in Bulgarian). His first lecture was about the treatment of Prostate cancer with IPT and the second lecture a case report on treating a patient with tongue cancer.
Also Dr.Donato Perez Garcia gave the guidelines for the management of stage 4 breast cancer patients and the best protocols to treat it.

Dr. Hartmut Baltin from Germany also trained by Dr.Donato Perez Garcia, presented a very interesting lecture entitled the changes in darkfield microscopy in the course of IPT in patients treated for Borrelia and Chlamydia.

Finally a team of Oncologist's from Turkey, who have been using IPT in their practice and joined the Academy recently, presented a series of clinical cases of stage 4  cancer patients treated successfully with IPT as stand alone treatment and in some with the addition of local hyperthermia. The results presented by this group are astonishing.

Before the closing of the Conference a vote took place and the city of Curitiba in Brasil was chosen to be the host for the 9th IPT Global Conference.

I cordially invite all interested and IPT trained health practitioners to join the European Academy for IPT and attend the 9th IPT Global Conference in Brasil.
